Funding for Exercise Physiology Services

Exercise Physiology services can be accessed through a variety of funding options, including:

Private Health Funds

Many private health insurance policies provide rebates for Exercise Physiology services. No referral is required—check with your provider for specific rebates.

Chronic Disease Management (CDM):
Clients with a chronic condition may be eligible for up to 5 subsidised visits on referral from a GP.

Type II Diabetes Exercise Group Classes:
Includes 1 assessment and 8 group sessions for eligible clients.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health:
Clients with chronic conditions may receive up to 5 subsidised visits.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Exercise Physiology can be funded under NDIS support categories such as:

  • Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living Skills

  • Capacity Building – Improved Health and Wellbeing

Clients will require a GP referral or case manager details and claim number to commence services. Communication with WorkCover WA will be facilitated to start your treatment.

If funding through the above options is unavailable, private sessions are offered at standard private health fund fees. No referral is needed.
